Life COACHING
To GO HIGHER, We Must GO DEEPER
We ALL WANT Our LIFE to BE GREAT.
And yet, most of us have areas in our life that are not quite where we want them to be. Maybe I’m fighting with my partner, maybe my relationship with my kids has taken a dip, maybe the way I treat myself leaves a lot to be desired, or my finances are a mess, or I’m struggling at work.
Whatever it is, we all have areas that we know could be better, and yet they’re not. And even if everything IS great, there is often a question lurking in the back of our minds somewhere wondering, could there be more?
Why is that?
To PUT it SIMPLY, Our BRAINS Resist CHANGE.
They’re optimized for safety and comfort, and they create stories about ourselves and the world that help us rationalize maintaining the status quo.
The end result? We don’t change. Even though it feels like every fiber in our body wants to.
When we attempt to address the areas on our own, the tools most of us default to are willpower and self-reflection. We muscle our way through. Which can be effective though often only for the short-term. And self-reflection alone is often not enough to override the powerful operating system running in the background. Our brains fool us into believing we’re being objective, when we’re being anything but.
A coach acts like a “thought disruptor,”
someone who challenges your automatic thinking patterns, helping you examine them so you can expand your view of what’s possible.
The end result?
You begin to write your own new ending to what used to feel like the same old story. You become “self-authored.”
This can often feel uncomfortable as you come face to face with that which you do not want to see or can’t see for yourself, and wake up to the costs you pay for holding on to the many ways you prevent yourself from having the life you want.
Over time, we loosen the grip that these beliefs have over you, and help you create new, and often unexpected results, and
envision a whole new direction for your life.
MY COACHING PROCESS
-
Clarify The Target
Where are we heading? If we were to coach together, how would we define success? We create that, detail out a vision for the life you want to create, and then we get to work.
-
Identify The Blocks
We look at all of the limiting beliefs, the assumptions, the thoughts, the actions or inactions, the choices you make or don't make, the way you help your progress or harm it. We identify your favorite ways you use to sabotage yourself (we all have them), and look at the fears and beliefs underneath them.
-
Get Into Action
We create a plan, we make progress, and we begin the act of creation. Creating your life, not just settling. Even if what you're creating is entirely internal so you simply enjoy and appreciate what you already have.
